Remember last year P1 promised to bring to Malaysia the first WiMAX embedded devices this year? Well, you can be rest assured that the device is on its way here because we’ve got pictures to prove it! Yesterday, P1 revealed an exciting year ahead for WiMAX, bringing to us their very own P1 WiMAX –enabled netbook as well as several exciting products to look forward to like the portable USB dongle, Shuttle, and a stylish Tower modem for your home.

P1’s WiMAX embedded netbook will be a game changer in the wireless broadband industry. The devices to expect in 2010 (Shuttle, Tower and P1 WiMAX netbook)!
I know some (or maybe even most) of you still don’t have P1 coverage at your home, but during the media briefing, P1 also promise that it will be expanding its coverage to 45% of Malaysian population, including East Malaysia in 2010, so let’s keep our fingers crossed. Despite facing difficulties due to traffic congestion in 2009, P1 tremendously improved its network to facilitate for the strong demand for P1 WiMAX, so let’s hope that when the coverage expands, the network will be improved alongside of it too.
Unfortunately though, P1 did not reveal when these devices will be available, but they did mention about competitive pricing and it will be available sooner than you expect!
i already potong my P1 after contract finish...terrible service...won't subscribe anymore to P1...first 2-3 months ok...after they advertise to potong i think they ask their current customers to potong to their own service...stupid P1!!...
I agree - P1 has the worst Helpdesk service amongst the ISPs. The connection quality is also poor - the upload error issue on my P1 is still unresolved after more than a month. >I'm going to sambung balik. You can actually potong P1 within the contract period for a fee of RM399.
i have to agree with you guys. my Wimax was good... for the first few weeks. then service became WORSE and now BAD.
so SLOW and everyday got time when it will totally not respond. the call centre? "oh.. kalau encik nak terminate and switch to streamyx can BUT have to pay this months bill and additional of RM 299"
what the ^&&^%^*&#^*$ !!!!!! Duit mau tapi service macam tooooooooooooooooooooot !!!!
Whats the point expanding when you can't live up to expectation? Every month, min 4-5 days your service will be down. And do not bother to waive fee for those days! Your help desk is also very poor, in fact the worse I came across! Made a big mistake subscribing to P1!thumbsdown
